Ayurvedic Spiced Cauliflower Rice - Nature's Basket - NZ


  • 1 head of cauliflower
  • 2 tbsp ghee or coconut oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Handful of chopped fresh cilantro


  1. Cut the cauliflower into florets and pulse in a food processor until it resembles the texture like rice.
  2. Heat the ghee or coconut oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the cumin seeds and let them cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the cauliflower rice to the skillet and stir to coat it with the oil and cumin seeds.
  5. Add the coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, and black pepper to the skillet and stir to combine.
  6. Cook the cauliflower rice for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it is tender but still has a bit of bite to it.
  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
