  1. Henna First: Apply Nature’s Basket Henna according to its directions, then rinse and dry your hair. (This provides the base needed for the indigo to "stick").

  2. Indigo Paste: Mix the indigo powder with warm water until it reaches a smooth, yogurt-like consistency.3 Apply immediately, as indigo releases its dye quickly.

  3. Timing: Leave on for 1–3 hours, depending on the desired depth of color.

  4. Rinse: Rinse thoroughly with water. For the best color "set," avoid shampooing for 24–48 hours.

For Blue Tones: Apply alone to light or blonde hair to achieve a unique botanical blue shimmer.
