Why this Tibetan Singing Bowl NZ

I wanted a bowl that sings, not just rings.
Handmade in Nepal, tuned for a warm, resonant tone, and supplied as a complete set.

What you’ll love

  • Authentic & handmade — crafted by Nepalese artisans using traditional methods.

  • Rich, sustained resonanceclear fundamental + harmonic overtones for deep presence.

  • Alloy blend — traditional metal mix for stable tone and durability.

  • Complete setwooden mallet + handmade silk cushion included.

  • Sizes & finishes — pick the diameter that fits your space and style.

  • NZ-ready — fast delivery to Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Hamilton, Tauranga, Dunedin.

No two bowls are the same — that’s the charm of true handmade.

What it’s great for (everyday use)

  • Meditation & mindfulness — settle attention, lengthen exhales.

  • Yoga & breathwork — mark class openings/closings with a single strike.

  • Sound baths at home — slow rim-play for a sustained, room-filling tone.

  • Focus & study — one gentle chime to reset between tasks.

  • Home / studio ambiance — a beautiful object that also performs.

Mini story (real chat)

A teacher in Auckland told me, “My old bowl feels sharp.”
We tried a mid-size Nepal bowl; first rim-play and she paused:
“That’s it — warm, not piercing.”
Right bowl, better presence.

How to use

One clear strike (centering tone)

  1. Rest bowl on the cushion (palm up also works).

  2. Hold the mallet near the top third.

  3. Gentle tap on the bowl’s outer rim.

  4. Let the fundamental bloom — no second strike needed.

Rim-play (sustained “sing”)

  1. Anchor the bowl on the cushion.

  2. Start a slow circle around the rim with the mallet’s wood/leather side.

  3. Keep constant light pressure; speed up gradually.

  4. Ease off slightly once the tone “catches.”

Care

  • Wipe dry with a soft cloth.

  • Avoid harsh cleaners; occasional natural oil on the wood handle is fine.

  • Keep away from prolonged moisture and direct sun.

What’s included

  • Handmade Tibetan (Himalayan) Singing Bowl — Nepal crafted

  • Wooden mallet (striking + rim-play)

  • Handmade silk cushion

Thank You & Well Done!

I ordered the singing bowl as a gift and mentioned this in the order notes. The bowl came beautifully wrapped and tied in a bow.

Besides the quality of the bowl itself - which looks and sounds beautiful - the Nature's Basket team went above and beyond.

I'd be happy to recommend them to anyone looking for a great experience and good products
