Recap: Ayurveda & Meditation Workshop in Auckland | Nature's Basket NZ
Nature’s Basket recently hosted an Ayurveda and meditation workshop in Auckland, bringing together individuals interested in natural health, holistic wellness, and mindful living.
Held at UXBRIDGE Arts & Culture in East Auckland, the workshop offered participants a gentle introduction to Ayurvedic lifestyle principles, guided meditation, and practical tools for achieving balance in everyday life.
This event was proudly organised and sponsored by Nature’s Basket, a New Zealand wellness brand dedicated to supporting natural health through Ayurvedic herbs, supplements, and conscious lifestyle education.

Understanding Ayurveda: The Science of Body Balance
The workshop began with an insightful session led by Ayurveda consultant Ma Veda, who introduced the foundations of Ayurveda — one of the world’s oldest holistic health systems.
Participants learned about:
- The three Ayurvedic body types (doshas)
- How digestion, sleep, stress, and energy levels reflect internal balance
- Simple Ayurvedic lifestyle adjustments for daily wellbeing
This Ayurveda introduction in Auckland helped attendees better understand their unique constitution and how natural approaches can support long-term health.

Meditation and Breathwork for Mind–Body Balance
The second half of the workshop focused on experiential practice.
Ma Kalaadevi, an experienced meditation practitioner, guided participants through gentle yoga movements, breath awareness, and a calming meditation session.
The aim of this practice was to help participants reconnect with their inner awareness and move beyond the constant mental activity of daily life.
For many attendees, this was their first experience with guided meditation in a group setting, creating a calm and supportive environment.




Personal Wellness Consultation
The final segment of the workshop allowed participants to explore personalised guidance.
Two consultation spaces were available:
- Ayurveda consultation table – offering insights into body constitution and herbal support
- Meditation and spiritual learning table – introducing meditation practices and community opportunities
Participants could ask questions, explore natural health products, and learn more about holistic lifestyle approaches.
Vegetarian tea refreshments were also provided, creating a relaxed and welcoming space for conversation.

Growing Interest in Holistic Wellness in Auckland
The workshop also opened doors for future collaboration and learning opportunities.
One participant expressed interest in inviting the team to deliver a health and wellness talk at Unitec Institute of Technology, while others asked about joining community groups or participating in online yoga and meditation sessions.
Feedback forms collected during the event will help guide future workshops and wellness gatherings.
